Past Recipients of the Silver Beaver Award
Past Recipients from other Districts
SILVER BEAVER AWARD DISTRICT AWARD OF MERIT
A very important part of the scouting program is YOU, our District's adult volunteer leaders. There are 2
Awards which leaders may be nominated: Silver Beaver - which is the highest recognition a Boy Scout
Council can bestow on an adult volunteer leader; and District Award of Merit - which is the highest
recognition a District can bestow on an adult volunteer leader. Attached please find a list of previous
recipients.
Candidates for the Silver Beaver Award must be registered volunteer Scout leaders within Council or high-
profile community leaders. They must have rendered noteworthy service of exceptional character to youth.
Service to youth and the community outside of Scouting is desirable.
Candidates for the District Award of Merit must be a registered Scouter. A nominee must have rendered
noteworthy service to boys and they should have contributed some service to youth outside of Scouting.
We would like for you, our volunteer leaders, to nominate an adult leader who is dedicated, renders service
of an outstanding nature and provides exceptional leadership to our youth in River Trails District. Attached
please find forms for your nominations. You may copy these forms or go to the following website to
